Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AstroManage is a booking and practice management platform built for Indian astrologers. Our registered address is India. Questions about this policy can be directed to privacy@astromanage.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect data in two contexts:

Astrologer accounts:

Name, email address, WhatsApp number
Aadhaar number and selfie (KYC verification only — not stored after verification)
Bank account details for Razorpay payouts
Session notes you write about clients

Client data (provided by your clients when booking):

Name and WhatsApp number
Date, time, and place of birth (used exclusively to generate the Kundli chart)
No payment card data — payments handled entirely by Razorpay

3. How we use your data

To provide the AstroManage service (booking management, Kundli generation, payouts)
To send WhatsApp notifications (booking confirmations, reminders, PDFs) via WATI
To verify your identity for KYC compliance
To process payments via Razorpay
To improve the platform based on aggregate, anonymised usage data

We never sell your data or your clients' data to third parties. We never use birth details for any purpose other than generating the Kundli chart requested.

4. Data storage and security

All data is stored on servers within India or in AWS regions that comply with Indian data protection requirements. Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We enforce role-based access control — our engineers can only access data when required to resolve a support issue, and access is logged.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third parties to operate the platform:

Razorpay — payment processing and payouts (PCI-DSS compliant)
WATI — WhatsApp Business API messages
Supabase / PostgreSQL — database storage
AWS S3 — chart PDF storage
Umami Cloud — cookie-free website analytics for astromanage.com

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data required for each service to function.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access all data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Export your client data in CSV format
Withdraw consent for WhatsApp notifications at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@astromanage.com or WhatsApp us. We will respond within 72 hours.

7. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely. Razorpay transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations.

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel on the platform. To understand how many people visit astromanage.com, we use Umami Cloud, a cookie-free analytics service. It records anonymous page views, the website you came from, and general device, browser and approximate location (country or city) information. It sets no cookies and does not store information that directly identifies you. You can opt out at any time using the analytics notice on our website.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via WhatsApp or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of AstroManage after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
